Adoption Class 1

August 16, 2008 20:54 by ckincincy

I have 11 classes to go through, so I figure I will recap each.

Class one was attended in our licensing county, inner city and such.  The people there were interesting, very diverse... in race and lifestyle.  The instructor was a bit energetic.

The diversity, not the race aspect, was a bit disheartening.

Seems like one dysfunctional situation to another.  The lesser of two evils.  I just value the standard home, a mom and a dad.  Some folks were amazing folks all around, and will give some children some great homes. Was also surprised by the level of information given out by some of these families.  You know... fertility issues.

Then we watched a video titled, "Richard Cardinal: Cry From a Diary of a Metis Child." Which basically went over where child protective service has come from.  Pretty sad.

I thought the class was well put together.
