Uncomfortable

Sometimes being a good friend to somebody else means that you have to put yourself in some uncomfortable situations.

A few months ago I had a friend come to me and ask for help in a very indirect way.  I knew this friend needed more friends.  People to relate to and lift him up.  He asked to start joining me on some events I did with my circle of friends, and I'm obviously not going to tell another friend no.

Well its turned out that he's liked those new friends and has even done more on his own to expand those friendships, which leads me to what is likely to happen.

Some old friends are going to think that I purposefully, went out of my way to have this happened.  I've not.  And I'm sure the ones that will think the worst of this situation won't take the time to figure it out.  And I'm OK with that.  Some will probably read this post and put two and two together (which is really the reason for the post). So for that group of people.  I did not seek this situation out.  I did not push it away because my friend needed help and I wasn't going to turn him away.  I was just being a friend, and sometimes being a friend means you are in an uncomfortable situation.

For the others that can't put two and two together.  This involved no situations of sin.  It was literally a male friend asking me to join a group of my other friends.  And some mutual contacts of ours will look down on it.
