Well I mentioned in my previoius post that the appendix of the book, Rocking the Roles was full of great stuff... but the first section just down right scared me! The authors started off with some 'editorials' written about how society was in big trouble due to the marriage relationship taking a back seat. The kicker?.... it was about Rome!!!! It was written just before Jesus started his ministry, and you know what.... Rome, as it was back then, is no more. And the authors talked about how some will clearly point to the destruction of the family as the reason for the fall from prominance.
I really need to find a good book about Rome, because it sounds SO much like America of today. Where will we be at in 50 years if we don't protect the family? Will America as a super power cease to exist? Is the alternative really something we are willing to deal with?
Even if only for the appendix, this book is worth buying. Two more appendix chapters to go... and I know there will be at least one more post on this topic.
